　4年ぶりとなる今回は、内田さんの日常にある自然から着想を得た作品が中心である。愛犬との散歩で目にした細流での鮭の遡上と産卵、力尽きた後に鳥に食べられ、卵が孵化し再び海へ向かうという命の循環に深い感動を覚え、こうした原始から続く営みが、身近な生活圏で人知れず行われていたことを目にしたことから勇気をもらい歩みが軽くなったという。日本海と佐渡島や弥彦山、透ける緑が美しいネギ畑、沢に掛かる橋の下を通り抜けるカワセミ、川底で異彩を放つ平行四辺形に割れている石、万葉の道の植物。日常の風景が題材となり、抽象と具象の間を行き来する表現の中に、自然への畏敬と生命のつながりがにじみ出ている。岩絵の具による奥行きあるマチエールも特徴で、是非作品を通して内田さんの自然観に触れてもらいたい。

　This exhibition, Miyoko Uchida’s first in four years, centers on works inspired by the nature found in her daily life. She was deeply moved by the cycle of life she witnessed during walks with her beloved dog: salmon swimming upstream in a small stream to spawn, then being eaten by birds after exhaustion, their eggs hatching, and the cycle repeating as the new generation returned to the sea. Seeing this primordial activity unfolding generally unnoticed within her familiar surroundings gave her courage and lightened her step. The Sea of Japan, Sado Island, Mount Yahiko, leek fields with their beautiful translucent green, kingfishers passing beneath bridges over streams, parallelogram-shaped stones gleaming uniquely on riverbeds, plants along the Manyo Road. These everyday landscapes become subjects, and within expressions that traverse the space between abstraction and figuration, reverence for nature and the interconnectedness of life seep through. The depth of texture achieved through mineral pigments is also a defining feature, and I sincerely hope viewers will experience Uchida’s perspective on nature through her works. 内田美代子（うちだ みよこ）
神戸市生まれ。武蔵野美術大学造形学部油絵科卒業。在学中フランス、ブザンソンのエコール・デ・ボザールにて人体をテーマとして油彩を学ぶ。2001年新潟県弥彦村に移り住み、自然の中で創作と発表を続ける。新潟絵屋では、05年 「パリ・新潟の朝市から」、11年「Viva Degustation!」、 13年「Source de vie」、17年「Jouer au vent ～風遊ぶ丘～」、22年「le respect OYAHIKO ～山を見つめて～」個展開催。

Miyoko Uchida
Born in Kobe City. Graduated from the Oil Painting Department, Faculty of Fine Arts, Musashino Art University. While enrolled, studied oil painting with a focus on the human figure at the École des Beaux-Arts in Besançon, France. Moved to Yahiko Village, Niigata Prefecture in 2001, continuing to create and exhibit amidst nature. Solo exhibitions at Niigata Eya: 2005 “Paris/Niigata no Asaichi Kara,” 2011 “Viva Degustation!,” 2013 “Source de vie,” 2017 “Jouer au vent ~ Kaze Asobu Oka ~,” and 2022 “le respect OYAHIKO ~ Yama wo Mitsumete~.”

　料治さんは速攻タイプで、ときに速攻すぎるのではと感じることもあるほどだ。こういう人に向いているのは水性画材だろう。水は速く攻められても、水独自の速さとのろさで即反応する物質で、即応の水と速攻の人が激突し、弾力のある、面白い絵があらわれてきた。面白い、面白いと速攻タイプらしくよろこぶ料治さんには、もう少しできあがった絵をじっくり、ゆっくりと眺めてほしい気がする。新潟絵屋では13年ぶりとなるこの展示が、そんな機会にもなってほしい。（企画者：大倉 宏）

Ms. Sachiko Ryoji is a quick-strike type; sometimes I even feel like she moves too hastily. Water-based materials suit someone like her. Water, though applied swiftly, is a substance that reacts instantly with its own unique speed and slowness. The collision between this responsive water and the high speed-strike artist produces resilient, fascinating paintings. While Ms. Ryōji, true to her swift attack nature, exclaims “Interesting! Interesting!” with delight, I find myself wishing she would take a little more time to gaze slowly and deeply at the finished paintings. I hope this exhibition at Niigata Eya, her first in 13 years, will provide such an opportunity. (Exhibition Planner: Hiroshi Okura)

料治幸子（りょうじ さちこ）
大阪府生まれ。彫刻家・故小坂圭二に師事。 1999年ヒガ画廊、2001年スペースユイ、02年啓祐堂ギャラリー、04年gallery artbookchair、05年PROMO-ARTE gallery、07・09・11・13・15・18・20・23年Galerie412（以上東京）、13年新潟絵屋、25年うしお画廊（東京）などで個展。東京都在住。Instagram@ryojisachiko903

Born in Osaka Prefecture. Studied under sculptor Keiji Kosaka (deceased). 糸を紡ぎ、布を織る齋藤伸絵さん。石を磨き、金属を加工する阿部信子さん。扱っている素材は異なるが、「ふたりとも、どこまでもアナログで、恐ろしく手がかかることを淡々と楽しくやっている」と阿部さんは言う。繊細でシビアな手仕事から生まれる作品は、だけどどこまでも柔らかく、暖かい。４年ぶりの二人展。冬に向かう季節に、目で見て、手にして、身につけて楽しみたい。（企画者：上田浩子）

Spinning thread and weaving cloth: Nobue Saito. Polishing stone and working metal: Nobuko Abe. Though their materials differ, Ms. Abe remarks, “Both are utterly analog, calmly and joyfully tackling incredibly labor-intensive tasks.” Yet the works born from this delicate, demanding handiwork remain infinitely soft and warm. Their first joint exhibition in four years. As winter approaches, I would like to enjoy seeing, holding, and wearing these pieces. (Exhibition Planner: Hiroko Ueda)

齋藤伸絵（さいとう のぶえ）
県内外で個展、グループ展開催、クラフトフェア出展。長岡造形大学市民工房、ソノキアトリエ染織講師。宮城県仙台市生まれ、新潟市在住。「ウール、絹、麻などの素材自体の違い、個体差もある繊維をそれぞれで、または組み合わせて“染めて紡いで糸にして織る”ことで新しく生まれてくる色、風合い、佇まい、そんなものにずっと魅せられて制作しています」
Nobue Saito
Holds solo and group exhibitions within and outside Niigata prefecture; participates in craft fairs. Lecturer at Nagaoka Institute and Design Citizen Workshop and Sonoki Atelier Dyeing and Weaving. Born in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture; lives in Niigata City. Saito said, “I’ve always been captivated by the colors, textures, and presence that emerge when I dye, spin, and weave fibers—each with its own inherent differences and variations, whether wool, silk, or linen—either individually or in combination. This fascination drives my work.”

阿部信子（あべ のぶこ）
県内外で個展、グループ展を開催。アトリエNOVI主宰、新潟デザイン専門学校非常勤講師。新潟市在住。「ここ数年、ジュエリーを制作する傍ら自ら石を磨いています。石と金属はどちらも鉱物ですが個性も表情も全く違います。そのお互いの良さを活かすよう自然と対話をするような気持ちで制作をしています」
Nobuko Abe
Holds solo and group exhibitions within and outside Niigata Prefecture; Director of Atelier NOVI; part-time lecturer at Niigata College of Art and Design. Lives in Niigata City. Abe said, “For the past few years, alongside creating jewelry, I’ve been polishing stones myself. Though both stones and metals are minerals, their individuality and expressions are entirely different. I create with a mindset of conversing with nature, aiming to bring out the best in each of them.”

　さがしている絵があった。過去の展覧会で発表し、記憶に残っていたものの所在がわからず『井田英夫画集』に載せられなかった絵だ。井田さんの没後は、展覧会のたびに作品の調査や整理に繋がっており、今回はそのような絵のいくつかと再会することができた。わたしが支援展準備のために音戸を訪ねた折、制作のため手元においておきたいと言っていたぞうきんのスケッチ（画集に収録）の未完の油絵も見つけた。画集のつづきを展覧会で見届けてほしい。（文：井上美雪　企画者：井上美雪、大倉宏）

There was a painting I was searching for. It was one Hideo Ida had exhibited in the past, one that remained in my memory, but whose whereabouts I couldn’t trace, so it couldn’t be included in the Hideo Ida Art Collection. After Mr. Ida’s　passing, I’ve been involved in researching and organizing his works for each exhibition, and this time I was able to reunite with several such paintings. During my visit to Ondo for the support exhibition preparations, I also found an　unfinished oil painting of a rag sketch (included in the collection) that he had mentioned wanting to keep close at hand for his further work. 井田英夫（いだ ひでお）
1975年旧新津市生まれ。97年新潟デザイン専門学校卒業。99年モンセラート美術大学卒業（米国）。2002年より新潟絵屋、05年ギャラリーEMU-st（新潟）、11年久留米市一番街多目的ギャラリー、12年三方舎書斎ギャラリー（新潟）、15年天仁庵（広島）で個展開催。 15年8月～20年4月広島県呉市音戸町に滞在。17年は新潟絵屋とギャラリーみつけ（新潟）で新作展、砂丘館で回顧展を開催。18年4月、新潟市の2会場で有志の企画による「井田英夫支援展」が開催される。19年新潟絵屋で個展開催。20年4月27日逝去。23年4月『井田英夫画集』発行（井田英夫画集刊行委員会）。

Hideo Ida
Bornin 1975 in the former Niitsu City. Graduated fromNiigata College of Art &　Design in 1997, and from Montserrat College of Art (USA) in 1999. Ida has had　solo exhibitions at Niigata Eya since2002, Gallery EMU-st (Niigata) in 2005,　Kurume Ichibangai Multipurpose Gallery(Kurume) in 2011, Sanpousha Shosai　Gallery (Niigata) in 2012, and Tenjinan (Hiroshima) in 2015. From August 2015　to April 2020, he lived in Ondo-cho,Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture. In 2017,　 his new works were exhibited at Niigata Eya and Gallery Mitsuke (Niigata), and a retrospective at Sakyukan. In April 2018, the “Hideo Ida Support　Exhibition” was organized by volunteers at two venues in Niigata City. In 2019, the artist held a solo exhibition at Niigata Eya. Ida passed away on April 27, 2020. Hideo Ida Art Collection was published in April, 2023 (The Hideo Ida Art Collection Publication Committee).
