津田真帆展 – 新潟絵屋

　歩いたり走ったりすると視界のへりに流れが生じ、ないものが見える、というか、あらわれては去っていく。かなりの速度で走ったときのそんな流れに生息するものたちを、津田真帆は絵筆の竿でたくみに釣りあげる。
　これら肥沃な地の渓流に棲むイメージ／イメージ以前たちはなんとも溌剌とし、魅惑的な陰影や色合いをおびている。花、草、海、陽光、薄暮など、目の正面をよぎる光景にそんな周縁のきらめきが重なり、からまり、まじりあう。見ることの深さと豊かさが、実感されてくる。（企画者：大倉宏）

When we walk or run, a stream is generated at the edge of our field of vision, and we see things that are not there, or rather, things that appear and then disappear. Maho Tsuda skillfully uses a paintbrush rod to catch the things that inhabit such a stream when running at a considerable speed.
The images and pre-images that inhabit the mountain streams of this fertile land are very lively, with fascinating shades and hues. The flowers, grass, sea, sunlight, and dusk – these visions in front of the viewer’s eyes overlap, intertwine, and mingle with the sparkle of the peripheral visions. The depth and richness of the viewer’s experience is realized. (Exhibition Planner: Hiroshi Okura)

津田真帆（つだまほ）
1966年東京都生まれ。東京芸術大学卒業。子どもの絵画・造形教室に携わる。装丁・挿絵の作品に『デ・ラ・メア物語集』（全3巻）、絵本に『巨男/おおおとこの話』『うずまき・うずまき・かたつむり』『あかちゃんがいるの！』（大日本図書）、『わたしのあかちゃん』（福音館書店）、『あきですよ』（金の星社）がある。檜画廊（東京）にて個展多数。2006・08・10・12・14・17年新潟絵屋で個展開催。東京都在住。

Maho Tsuda
Born in Tokyo in 1966. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. Involved in Children’s painting and modeling classes. Her works used for a book design and illustration include De la mare monogatari shu (3 volumes), and picture books such as Ootoko No Hanashi, Uzumaki-Uzumaki-Katatsumuri, Akachan Ga Iruno! (Dainippon tosho Co.,Ltd.), Watashi No Akachan (Fukuinkan Shoten Publishers, Inc.), and Aki Desu (Kinnohoshi Co.Ltd.). She has had many solo exhibitions at Gallery Hinoki (Tokyo), and has held solo exhibitions at Niigata Eya in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2005. Lives and works in Tokyo.
