　百（もも）さんの料理は美味しい。無駄なものは入っていない。素材の持ち味を生かし、繊細でいて靭い味。舌の喜びだけでなく、身体の奥にすっと染みていく、そんな美味しさ。　作品もまた心に染みる。決して大きくないその画面は内に深く広大な空間を秘めている。時として激しく画面をうねる線も強烈な色彩もどこか懐しい世界に感じられるのは私だけだろうか。心の奥の、感情がまだ感情になり切らず、心が言葉になる前の混沌の底に潜んでいたものを、掴み出して描き出したような。　そう思えるから、ももさんの作品は心にすっと染みてゆくのだろうか。（企画者：田代早苗）

Momo-san’s food is delicious. Nothing is wasted. The taste is delicate and yet robust in utilizing the most of the ingredients’ natural flavors. It is a taste that not only delights the palate, but also penetrates deep into the body. The works of art also touches my heart. The paintings, which are not large in size, have a deep and vast space within them. Is it just me, or do the lines that sometimes swirl violently across the canvas and the intense colors seem somehow nostalgic? It is as if she has grasped and drawn out what lurks deep within, at the bottom of the chaos, where feelings have yet to become emotions, and where the heart has yet to become words. I wonder if it is because I feel that way that Momo-san’s work seeps into my heart so easily. (Exhibition Planner: Sanae Tashiro)

百都真希子（ももつ まきこ）
会津若松市生まれ、新潟市育ち。 幼少期に長谷川貞子氏からものづくりの楽しさを学ぶ。その後、食に関心を持ち、 2009年からおむすびやを営む。18年泉谷眞知子絵画教室に通い始め絵を再開。個展は20年「てんとせん」（蔵織／新潟）、23年「目を澄ますと」（草舟／宮城）。現在、武蔵野美術大学通信教育課程に在籍中。

Makiko Momotsu
Born in Aizuwakamatsu City and raised in Niigata City. She learned the joy of making things from Sadako Hasegawa when she was a child. She then became interested in food and started running an Omusubi (rice balls) shop in 2009.In 2018, she started painting again after attending Machiko Izumitani’s painting class. Her solo exhibitions include “Ten to Sen” (Kuraori, Niigata) in 2020 and “Me wo Sumasuto” (Kusafune, Miyagi) in 2023. Currently enrolled in a correspondence course at Musashino Art University.

　1980年代、栗田宏はどこから描き始めるのかと訊かれて、四つの点で自分の住みたい方形をまず作ると答えている。神の降りてくる場所に木を立て、縄で囲うように、画家が入り（住み）こむと、何かがそこを訪れてくる。その何かと「ふれる」時間が、栗田にとって描くことだったのだろう。炎が揺れながら、形を変え、熱や光や火の粉を散らすように、栗田の方形も周囲に、接触の気配を放散させる。後年の白い絵では、結界が解かれたたおやかな空間に、その何かの気配だけが、静かに、息をしながら広がっている。（企画者：大倉宏）

In the 1980s, when asked how he would start a painting, Hiroshi Kurita replied that he would first create the square he wanted to live in with four points. Just like a place where a god comes down and a tree is erected in that place and enclosed by a rope, when the painter enters (lives in) the place, something comes to visit him. For Kurita, time spent “communing” with something must have been what it meant to paint. Just as a flame flickers, changes shape, and disperses heat, light, and sparks of fire, Kurita’s square also emits signs of contact with something to the surroundings. In the white paintings of later years, there is only a hint that something is spreading quietly, breathing, in the graceful space where the boundary has been lifted. 栗田 宏（くりた ひろし）
1952年白根市（現新潟市南区）生まれ。「生成」「気」「密」などのテーマで制作を続ける。84・85年現代画廊（東京）、2000・02・04・14・15・16・23年新潟絵屋、04・05・07・08・09・10年画廊Full Moon、07年砂丘館、11年阿彌陀瀬（五泉市）にて個展。砂丘館で11年 「栗田 点 華雪」、13年「平野充・栗田宏」、22年「特別展示 栗田宏 梅田恭子」開催。89年「新潟の絵画100年展」（新潟市美術館）、00年「見えない境界 変貌するアジアの美術 光州ビエンナーレ2000（アジアセクション）日本巡回新潟展」（新潟県民ギャラリー）出品など。2022年8月23日70歳で死去。

Hiroshi Kurita
Kurita was born in 1952 in Shirone City (currently Minami Ward, Niigata City). He worked continuously on themes such as “Seisei” (generation), “Ki” (qi), and “Mitsu” (density). Solo exhibitions were held at Gendai Gallery (Tokyo) in 1984 and 1985, Niigata Eya in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2023, Full Moon Gallery from 2004 to 2010 except for 2006, Sakyukan in 2007, and Amidase (Gosen City) in 2011. He held dual exhibitions at Sakyukan: “Kurita Ten Kasetsu” in 2011, “Mitsuru Hirano and Hiroshi Kurita” in 2013, and the “Special Exhibition by Hiroshi Kurita and Kyoko Umeda” in 2022. He participated in “100 Years of Niigata Painting” (Niigata City Art Museum, 1989), and “Invisible boundary: metamorphosed Asian art: travelling exhibition: Asian section of Kwangju Biennale 2000 Japan Tour in Niigata” (Niigata Prefectural Gallery, 2000), and others. He died on August 23, 2022 at the age of 70.

　フジタヨウコの陶芸は、師の坂爪勝幸や坂爪の敬愛するピーター・ヴォーコスがそうであるように、視覚と触覚を越えた感覚世界に身をいつも開こうとしてきた。若さや甘さ、たどたどしさを時に味方としながら、いろいろな展開をたどってきた制作を見続けて20年になった。 いつも事前に新作を見に村上の工房へいくのが楽しみだが、事情で行けなかった。しかし画像からでも手前に飛び出てくるもののふしぎな音がする。実際の会場はどんなだろう。（企画者：大倉宏）

Like her teacher Katsuyuki Sakazume and Peter Voulkos, whom he admires,
Yoko Fujita’s ceramic art has always tried to open herself to the world of the senses beyond the senses of sight and touch. It has been 20 years since I have
watched her work, which has developed in various ways, with youth, naivete, and even her faltering sometimes, as allies. I always look forward to visiting her studio
in Murakami city to see her new works in advance of her exhibition, but this time, circumstances prevented me from doing so. However, even from the image, I could hear the mysterious sound of something popping up in the foreground. I wonder what the actual venue will be like. (Exhibition Planner: Hiroshi Okura)

フジタヨウコ（藤田 陽子）
1995年女子美術短期大学卒業。96年同専攻科修了。同年坂爪勝幸氏に師事。個展は、03年ギャルリー炎舎（新潟市）開催以来、新潟絵屋、ギャラリーさやけ、ギャラリー彩、やまぼうし、HAFU、胎内市美術館、ギャラリーみつけ（新潟）、芹川画廊、ギャラリーいなば、ギャラリー＋ノーション（東京）などで発表。09年長三賞、13年日本陶芸展入選。16年地元の瀬波温泉に「Toi 陶房」設立。www.fujita-yoko.com

Yoko Fujita
Graduated from Joshibi College of Art and Design in 1995, and completed the major course in 1996. Studied under Katsuyuki Sakazume in the same year.Since her solo exhibition at Galerie Ensha in Niigata City in 2003, she has exhibited at Niigata Eya, Gallery Sayake, Gallery Sai, Yamaboshi, HAFU, Tainai City Museum of Art, Gallery Mitsuke (Niigata), Serikawa Gallery, Gallery Inaba, Gallery+Notion (Tokyo), etc. She was awarded the Choza Prize in 2009 and her work was selected for the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition in 2013.
